Hammocks are alternatives to cribs and bassinets. The Hushamok is an organic cotton hammock meant for babies from birth up to 4-6 months (or when they can roll or sit up). A hammock cradles the baby and gently moves as they move. You can also bounce or swing the hammock to comfort the baby back to sleep from your own bed.

How and when can we best transition our baby from an Amby Baby Hammock to a crib?
We have an almost 5 month old who has slept in an Amby Baby Hammock since the day he was born. He sleeps very well. We tried two nights in the crib a couple of weeks ago, and it just didn't go so well. The Amby keeps him all snuggly and moves with a rocking motion when he moves... and the crib is just a crib, of course (although it has a very nice mattress). Any suggestions from experienced Amby users?
