Babi Italia Crib - Two Different Styles

A Babi Italia crib is simple, strong and visually appealing. All Babi Italia products are made of solid wood construction with veneers. A veneer is simply a thin piece of richly grained or colored wood that is glued either in sheets or numerous tiny pieces to inferior woods. Veneers provide a smooth, flat surface where solid lumber would allow warping over time.

Babi Italia cribs come in two different styles. They offer a 3 in 1 crib that will convert from a crib to a toddler bed to a day bed and they offer a LifeStyle crib that will convert from a crib to a toddler bed to a day bed to a full size bed. All guardrails for a toddler bed are sold separately.

The dropside of a Babi Italia crib does not move up and down and it was designed this way on purpose. You can easily pick up your little one without having to adjust the dropside and all the cribs meet the Consumer Products Safety Commission standards. The mattress spring will still adjust to three different heights as your bundle of joy grows. All you have to do is lower the mattress spring as they grow to keep them from climbing out.

Babi Italia cribs feature a front leg design that ensures that the toddler, day bed and full size bed are sturdy and do not wobble. Some of the 3 in 1 one cribs have a bottom drawer for extra storage. Both styles of cribs feature an easy conversion system. For example, with the LifeStyle version, you simply remove four bolts; there is no reassembly required to convert this style to a toddler bed or a day bed. This style also converts to a beautiful full size bed with a complete headboard and footboard without any need to reassemble pieces.

There are different collections of Babi Italia cribs. For example, the Eastside comes in cinnamon, cherry and white. It offers a 5 drawer dresser, a combo (a dresser/changing table), a nightstand and, of course, a crib. This is a very beautiful set that will last your baby from newborn to their teen years. As with all Babi Italia crib collections, it is very easy to achieve the feel of a totally different room when you change the crib to a toddler bed with guardrails and then again to a day bed. And with the LifeStyle, you can change it yet again, this time into a full size bed. Each time you change the bed, you child will feel like they are getting a whole new bedroom.

The wood that a Babi Italia crib is made from is among the very best. Some are made of European beech wood and this is a hardwood that stains and finishes very well. The cherry wood is a rich red-brown and the color deepens with age and exposure to sunlight. Rubber wood is one of the most durable lumber that is used in the furniture industry and whitewood is well known for holding carvings and turnings.
